Youth Soccer in Cranbrook
Creating a fun, learning soccer environment
A bit about our history:
Youth soccer in Cranbrook first took flight back in the late 70s. At the time there were only six house teams with a handful of volunteers performing several roles such as coaching, officiating, scheduling and actually equipping players that needed boots to play. Their main concern was getting kids to play soccer.

Soccer has grown in Cranbrook since then, supporting various house teams, several boys and girls rep teams, plus hosting the annual Sam Steele Days rep tournament. The growth was fuelled by the fact that soccer in Cranbrook was very successful back in the 1980s, which led to two top-notch teams in this area that could rival coastal and Alberta top-flight clubs. Many of the individuals that coached and played on those teams are still involved with the house and rep programs.

Our soccer system in Cranbrook is composed of the
Cranbrook Youth Soccer Association, which organizes the house system and the Kootenay East Youth Soccer Association, which runs the rep program.

Both of these organizations cooperate to develop the future of youth soccer in our city.
We are always looking for volunteers. If you are interested in joining and helping the house or rep organization, please contact us for various executive or coaching positions.
